The Tots Team
Ann Moseley, Parkville Tots Acting Director & Teacher for the 4s classes
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to all of you. I have lived in the Parkville area for twenty-six years. I have been married for 28 years and we have three sons, Rob, Mike, and Jack. I will not say that just the three boys attended the Tots program, but rather the whole family. We were all involved and it was such an incredible, close-knit, warm and inviting place for us to have our three guys start their academic journey. That is what Tiny Tots was for us. I feel very passionate about this program. I am honored to be able to direct and teach at such a great community program that gave so much to us. It is funny how life goes full circle.
I enjoy and love teaching pre-school. I started as an Instructional assistant at Pine Grove Elementary School in Kindergarten for three years.
For five years I worked with special needs children in both elementary and secondary levels. It was after that I decided to go back and further my education and receive my Early Child Development Certification and my Director’s and Administration Certification. I was lead teacher for threes at Two by Two Pre-school in Hereford, Maryland and then accepted a lead teaching position for fours at Providence Learning center.
I was lead teacher for them for seven years. I have been directing and lead teacher for the fours for the past two years here at Parkville Tots.
My motto for the Fours is “Watch the Green Fours Grow!” I can see every learning experience on their faces and it helps me gear them toward their fullest potential. I have my own philosophies about teaching your young ones that I will never waver from and they are “TEACH TO EACH CHILD’S INDIVIDUAL SPARK” and “LET THEIR INDIVIDUALITY SHINE!” Children learn through play and that ignites their curiosity to learn.
As your Fours teacher, I will be preparing them for Kindergarten. I am in constant communication with the other surrounding Kindergartens. This helps me make sure I expose them to skills that insure a smooth transition into Kindergarten. Pre-reading and writing skills, as well as early Math and Science concepts, will be a part of your child’s curriculum. The most important part of my responsibilities are to provide a safe and nurturing environment, having fun and creating an energy that gets them excited about learning, and to build their CONFIDENCE!
I am privileged to be a part of your child’s educational journey and only pray and hope that twelve years down the road your children will look at you and say, “ Remember Mrs. Ann, she was the BEST EVER and we had so much fun didn’t we mom?” My hope is that your reply will be “WE SURE DID, IT WAS THE BEST!”
If I can help answer any questions or concerns you may have, you may always contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I look forward to meeting and teaching your children and starting this incredible journey with you. Ready, Set, Go!
